SNAPPED ANKLES | True Ecology

“The Ankles throw together a fusion of searing off kilter post-punk but with a healthy blend of dance floor rhythms, synthesized noise and jagged aesthetics.”

(EARS HAVE EYES)

Exploring the ecology of sound organisms in its truest form is the newest offering in UK post punk from London’s Snapped Ankles. Their debut EP, True Ecology (Shit Everywhere), has been deemed a “collision of art-punk and noise with raw analogue synthesizers and drum machines". With piping staunch bass and fastened Eno vocals, there is little to deny this infectious contemporary dance punk/post punk release of its cult panache.

Given that these lads are known for their shamanistic live performances, there is enough to suggest that the frontal collision of art and music can evoke bohemian tendencies whilst in the process of dropping some seriously unadulterated bass.
