ST. TROPEZ | Self-Titled

"A classically stepped first work that sits somewhere between The Black Lips ragged insanity and Public Access TV’s more measured slant on fizzing punk." – DIY

With a deliberate lack of social media presence and a mysterious band image cast in shadow, four-piece garage punk band St. Tropez have debuted audaciously from Amsterdam’s independent music scene with their deliberately untitled EP of the same name. Insisting on only playing live outside of their native Holland, and choosing to place their online presence only on Soundcloud in order to let the music speak for itself, St. Tropez present a fiercely energetic EP that is armed with all the mutiny of The Cramps thrown in with some modern garage to the warming of The Hives, and even hints of early-Strokes’ Is This It. And for the more novel of thoughts attached to the band’s minimal PR pitch to the world, they can even vouch for recording their debut EP in a former (gay) sauna located by the canals of Amsterdam.

Their latest single Cut Me Loose has also been recently released in conjunction with their EP this month.
